Collaborate very positive – huge improvement on Elluminate. Loved all the features of sharing and interacting. Google continues to impress, Enjoyed that I can embed my calendar in Blackboard and that it automatically updates – def have a use for that.

I learned how to use Collaborate in many creative ways. I am excited that I can load break room white boards in the main room! I took the first steps to create a wiki inside blackboard and created more cloud art today. I will continue to explore Camtasia and will add Susan to VIP status in my email!

I’ve used both Camtasia and Articulate now and look forward to using both to see which one I like better. I may use both for different things.

The collaborate session today was very helpful. I learned how to use page explorer which makes it easier for a moderator to select slides. I can see using this feature a lot!
Learning about forms in Google was great – gave me another way to create a survey, test, etc.
My best learning today was in Camtasia. I learned another way to publish camtasia video to Bb. and after a few trial and errors…….it worked! Thank you Tina and Susan!!!

  5. It was another great day but I continued to have computer problems. I like the idea of Camtasia but I need to have IT check why I can’t run it from my computer. I learned a lot about Collaborate and will use more of the tools. I also really like Google apps and will use Drive and Forms.

  6. I really enjoyed the Collaborate demonstration, particularly the ways to engage the students in interactive activities (i.e. map with pointer to identify location, image of a bus and ability to move on and off in response to questions, place possible answers in four corners and let people move their names, have students select a check mark when completed with a task, pass a beach ball from person to person). I enjoyed the continued exploration in Google and plan to practice on Capture to see how easily that might work. I am a HUGE fan of wikis when used in the right context. I am not necessarily interested in making students use technology just for the purpose of using technology alone. Overall, another fantastic day!

I had computer problems again. All day. I was unable to run Camtasia from my computer which makes it unlikely that I will use it right now. I liked the Collaborate session and will use more of the tools. I will also use Google Sites, Drive and Forms.

Katie Walker’s demonstration of how faculty and students can interact in Blackboard was great. she demonstrated many interactive exercises we can do during a Collaborate web meeting. I hope to use the polling and breakout rooms more in the future.
