Apply the Peer Review Checklist to your course. Respond to the three questions below in this WordPress blog using the Category ‘Peer Review.’

  1. In what ways did the Peer Review Checklist help you to uncover areas of weakness or strength in your course?
  2. Would you use this rubric on other courses?
  3. Recommend it to other faculty? Why or why not?

Post a comment below that documents your learning for the day in regards to:

  1. Blackboard Rubrics

I learned how to grade on blackboard by leaving comments directly on the student submission and how to use the rubric in the grading site!

Creating quizzes in articulate – lots of options to get creative

I really liked learning about the updated grading options in Bb. I think it will same me a lot of time grading (which is my LEAST favorite activity of all!)

I learned about rubrics in BB that I will definitely use to grade assignments. I learned how to make a Google site. I don’t know that I will use it for class because my students may get confused going in and out of BB. I finally got Camtasia to work and Adobe Presenter. I missed a lot today due to trouble shooting. But, I like what I learned.

I enjoy learning more about PPT capabilities to edit pictures, and learning Articulate Quizmaker capabilities was great. Rose

  7. I really appreciated finding out about the online grading rubrics (Thanks, Tina!) and the suggestion to tell students to not communicate in Bb grading center comments (Thanks, Maureen!). Cools tools I learned about today included “comfychair mission statement generator” (Maureen), northernlit.comunity.uaf.edu (Madara), and adding a banner to Bb (Maureen), I was thrilled to learn that Polleverywhere can now be used asynchronously (that’s great news!). I gave up on Camtasia but expect to explore Adobe Presenter Video Express instead, as well as Explain Everything and Piktochart. All in all, it was a great day! I especially loved learning about Google site design! Dare I venture outside of Bb?? I am giving it serious thought at least for one course.

  8. Again, a packed day of learning!

I now have a vision of how to create more engaging videos. Articulate has given me the tool to accomplish what I really wanted out of this class! Now I need to implement it. Lots of work to do- but having a vision is huge!
